Default I don\'t even know if I should bother posting this one...

It might be too "meta/read" dependant, but I'll give it a shot anyways.

I mostly want to talk about hand ranges based on board texture, and for you guys to give me alternative lines everywhere. I probably take the line I took about the same amount as I take just about every other line, there is really no exact rhyme or reason to why I took it this time; I guess I mix it up with this particular hand and this particular board.

Villian is NMcNasty, I used to think he was straightforward, but in the last 3 months or whatever he's opened his game up, and he was definitely my toughest opponent today.

History is that we both think each other can think, and he might think I'm a calling station. I'm like 30/20 today, fwiw.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($975)
BB ($2099.90)
UTG ($1000)
MP ($1332)
CO ($3361.45)
Button ($995)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, CO raises to $40, 1 fold, Hero calls $35, 1 fold.

Flop: ($90) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $80, Hero calls $80.

Turn: ($250) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $225, Hero calls $225.

River: ($700) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $3016.45 (All-In),

It's like 650 for me to call, it's basically the size of the pot I'm getting 2 to 1 obv.

I have thoughts, but I want to hear others first.

If he knows you can think, wouldn't the best way to play this is straightforward?

OK, but what is straightfoward?

What is the standard line for this hand on this board, that is why I'm kind of looking for. I don't know that there really is one, besides "fold turn" or whatever, or "fold preflop" which is what I knew I'd get.

I just don't fold preflop here guys, almost never. I sometimes 3-bet and I sometimes call.

i think preflop is a fold, obviously its close and doesn't matter too much, but you think you can turn a profit here against a good player?

i think you have to call the river, i mean he could value bet AA this way right?

fold preflop, call the river, mcnasty is nasty. i like how you played this hand. sure other lines are possible, but i think this one is good.

Yea, as soon as the river hit, I checked quickly planning on snap-calling, because it is what I wanted.. but for some reason I didn't snap-call.

ugh I can see why you struggle with this hand, usually this is a good spot to let McNasty hang himself [I would atleast] - but since he views you as a station it makes things a little tougher, I think I still snap call though lol

That hand isn't very good out of position to call a raise imo, but I think you should call the river. Hopefully he doesn't have 7s or something.
