Default La Pucelle Werewolf SIGNUP THREAD (Game Starts May 24)

Well, since the Disgaea werewolf game as cancelled, while we need our fill of cuteness, I've buckled down and fleshed out my La Pucelle game idea.

BE WARNED that if you haven't played the game, there are massive, major, tremendous, horrible spoilers in this thread.

SPOILER SPACE

Rules

To clarify rules situations, there are three phases to this game, not two. Day and night are as usual, but dusk falls between the two as the period between the final vote tally, and the announcement of the final lynch. Neither day nor night actions may be used at dusk.

When it comes to enforcing the rules, most of the time I will bend before I will bring out punishments. But certain player-specific rules will be enforced strictly. If your role says claiming will bring punishment, be careful. Asking me before trying something is likely best. But easiest might be not to try to get near the boundary. If you make posts that are meant to communicate your role, while your role prohibit's claiming, you'll be punished. Even if it's an 'obvious' joke. Not that you can't make hints of what your investigations were as detective; you just can't hint that you're the detective. Again, don't hesitate to ask me if you're unclear or concerned.

There is NO TALKING at dusk or at night. The dead may make ONE content-free farewell post at NIGHT (not at dusk). You are not allowed to comment on the game situation, who voted for you, the intelligence of the players who voted for you, or anything else that can be construed as being game-related in your death post, though. Save LOL VILLAGE for after, please!

Majority lynches do not apply unless the Good team outnumbers the Evil team by only one, which will be announced. I ask that players be careful when night approaches, and not post after night if possible, and without majority lynch this should not be too difficult.

There is NO TALKING about other ongoing games at all. There is NO TALKING about this game in other games before this game is over.

Be careful with your PMs and AIMs, lest you place someone in an awkward situation or worse, help create a situation where he can accidentally ruin the game for someone.

Don't hesitate to inform me if you need a substitute for yourself. Don't hesitate to contact me privately if you find a problem or have a question. You can contact me via AIM (PresJPolk), 2+2 PM, or by XMPP (neil@hakubi.us), or by email (neil@hakubi.us).

"Night zero" chat begins for the Evil team when those players receive their roles sometime on May 23. Day one will start at 8am Pacific time on Thursday, May 24. Night will fall at 6pm Pacific every day except on Saturdays.

Alouette
The Maiden of Light
Member of the Church of the Holy Maiden

Angel: She may choose one player each night to protect from a night kill using the power given to her by the goddess Poitreene.

She cannot be killed at night. She dies if Croix dies or his memories are recovered.

If Alouette claims her role, Priere loses her powers.

Father Salade
Founder of the Church of the Holy Maiden

Father: If Alouette the leading vote getter at dusk, one time he may redirect the day lynch to a target of his choice. This power is no longer operative on days when failed lynch loses the game for the village.

If Father Salade and Baal use their power on the same day, the result is a coinflip between their choices.

If Alouette is lynched, and Salade is still alive, Salade dies in his place. This prevents a Croix conversion.

He is told on night zero which player is Alouette.

Olive
Member of the Church of the Holy Maiden

Detective: Starting on night one, she may choose one player to investigate, and will be told that player's role.

If she reveals her role in-thread, she loses all powers (and may be backed up by Julienne).

Julienne
Member of the Church of the Holy Maiden

Backup detective: If Olive dies, Julienne takes over for her immediately and begins receiving one player's role a night. She does not receive information on who Olive investigated, though.

Julienne may submit a name every night starting night one, but only receives an answer if Olive dies.

If Julienne is investigated by Olive, she appears as an ordinary villager. She also appears as villager to Hekatoncheir if investigated while Olive is still investigating. She appears as Julienne to Hekatoncheir otherwise.

If she reveals her role in-thread, she loses all powers (and may not ever back up Olive, if Olive is still investigating).

Priere
Member of the Church of the Holy Maiden

Demon Hunter: Every night, Priere must submit a name of a player to the moderator. That player will be killed. She loses this power when Alouette dies, or if Alouette claims her role.

Culotte
Member of the Church of the Holy Maiden

Good Friend: Every night, Culotte may submit the name of one player to the moderator. If the player he names is is Dark Eclair, then Dark Eclair is converted into normal Eclair. Additionally, Eclair and Culotte then may chat with each other at Night.

However after Eclair is converted, if she dies, then Culotte dies as well.

Croix
The Dark Prince
Wandering gunman

Repressed Dark Prince: He believes he is just resident of Paprica, thanks to his memory loss, however he is actually the Dark Prince sent by Calamity. The Maiden of Light repressed his memories, so for now he is not evil.

The player who is Croix is told he is an ordinary villager, and if investigated by Olive or Julienne before conversion, they are told he is a villager. If Hekatoncheir investigates him though, Hekatoncheir is told Croix's true identity.

His memories are recovered, and he returns to his evil ways, if a female member of the Church of the Holy Maiden is lynched (that includes Alouette, Priere, Olive, and Julienne), or if he is killed at night by the Church of the Divine Mother or by Dark Eclair. Alouette's protection does not prevent conversion by night kill.

Once his memories are recovered, he becomes a full member of the evil side, with 24 hour chat with the Evil team. This event will be announced in thread.

The Church of the Divine Mother

Every night, the evil team collectively may kill one player.

Noir
Founder of the Church of the Divine Mother

Charismatic Evil Leader: He appears to Olive or Julienne's investigations as an ordinary resident of Paprica.

He may only chat with the other Evils at night, not during day or at dusk.

Baal
Demon Lord

Demon Lord: One time at dusk he may redirect the day lynch to a target of his choice. This power is no longer operative on days when failed lynch loses the game for the village.

If Baal and Father Salade use their power on the same day, the result is a coinflip between their choices.

He may chat with the Evil team at any time.

Dagon
Demon

Hunter Demon: He gets one night kill every two nights (he may make one night 1 OR night 2, then one night 3 OR night 4, etc.).

He may chat with the Evil team at any time.

Hekatoncheir
Demon

Spying Demon: Every night, starting night zero, he may investigate one player by sending the name to the moderator.

He may chat with the Evil team at any time.

Succubus
Demon

Independent evil: She is told she is an independent member of the Evil team, and may not chat with them outside of the thread. She may choose the Evil team's night kill if all other evils (including Dark Eclair) are dead or converted.

Dark Eclair
The repressed dark side of good Princess Eclair

Evil Half: Princess Eclair tries so hard to be good and proper for her mother (the Queen) and all of Paprica, that her devious, 'evil' side has split off as an independent spirit, that goes off each night to cause trouble.

Eclair is told she is an independent member of the Evil team, and may not chat with them outside of the thread.

Eclair's dark side is merged back with her cheery side, however, if Culotte finds her. At that time she reverts to normal Eclair, and wins with the Church of the Holy Maiden, and may then chat at night with Culotte. This event will be announced in thread.

If Eclair dies after conversion, Culotte dies.

Wait - a game where I can probably accuse FCBL of something ridiculous if I am a wolf and get him lynched?

IN PLEASE!

No Q, but there are two convertibles, so it's possible you two will both switch teams, giving the villager the last laugh over the wolf, heh.
