Default Is greed bad? (NSFW)

The Ann Coulter set is constantly echoing the "greed is good" meme and other rubbish to make us think that money is more important than anything else, including human life.

I believe instead of "greed is good" it should be "hard work is good, greed is bad".

If you watched the Enron documentry, you would agree with me. Here we had a bunch of guys sitting at a desk, calling up power plant employees, telling them to shut down their reactors so Enron could net a few more million. Meanwhile, the cost of living and hence, the quality of life declined for millions of Americans.

This the type of greed touted by the Regan-worshipping cult. No regard for humanity, putting profit over people.

Would anyone care to counter this? I only wrote one example, but it is by no means the only one.

Well, "good" is defined individually, so there's no correct answer. For that matter, "greedy" is subjective too.

Theif --> Greedy =/= Greedy --> Thief

Greed isn't bad just like money isn't bad. There are plenty of honest, hard working people that many consider greedy. How people go about satisfying their greed or desire/need for money determines whether their actions are good or bad.
