FWIW most 2+2ers that I've played with at these stakes have said they respected my game.

Downswing was pretty brutal, some tilt, some poor table selection, but mostly just sick beats and coolers.

Oddly enough, the only hands I honestly feel I wasn't playing too well was the breakeven stretch for the first 12k, where I was still a donkament player and didn't know what I was doing.

The downswing around hand 20k came from poor table selection. IE Idiot lagtard villain sits to my left and starts 3betting light. I know he 3bets light so I start 4betting light, but he just happens to wake up with cards then. If he 3bets me 4 times straight and then I 4bet shove JJ this isn't a leak, if he calls with QQ its a cooler vs. this villain. Better solution is just to find a better table/seat so that you can isolate the fish or get position on the lagtard. Normally uNL table selection is just finding a table thats not nitty, but seat selection is also important.

I then drop back down to 10NL which takes forever to build a roll even if you're wrecking the games for 10bb/100 (many tables are so passive/nitty that it's actually hard to beat them for much more than this). I built back up to ~550 to regain my confidence, try out 25NL again, and run worse than sin, dropping 6 buyins in one session (the last one was tiltshoving AKo into a nit that for some reason kept 3betting me). During this session, I swear to god I lost every single pot I 3bet preflop. If I 3bet KK/QQ, flop would come Axx and villain check/shoves. If I 3bet AK, I whiff and villain check/shoves. If I 3bet AA, villain flopped a set or just folded PF. So annoying.

Keep in mind that 6 buyins at 25NL is 15 at 10NL, so it takes a fair amount of time to build back. Finally, last week, around hand 50k I go back to 25NL and say screw it, if I run bad I run bad but 10NL was about to make my head explode with how passive/nitty it is. I get back on, play my A game, and am finally rewarded by not running horrible

I did, after the downswing I dropped to 10nl for 6 weeks to regain confidence.
25nl was moving up for me

my god this thread is just one giant beat
speaking of resolve, I knew if I kept trying I would go unl robusto eventually

Last 20k hands or so have all been May. Been a good month.
