Default Beat: Both exes getting married

I dunno, maybe it's just hormones messing with me, but this is freaking me out.

I'm 24 years old and I have been in one serious and long lasting relationship in my life, a few years back. Other than her, there has been one very special girl on and off in my life, and she's still remained in a way. The thing that might one day take off for real, sort of.

About 30 minutes ago M (the "serious" ex) texts me "hey, everything allright? Oh, I'm getting married June 2nd, ttyl kthx". After a few more messages I get "Oh, and baby girl's due in September". Well, that was weird.

Then I sign on to MSN, and the other ex, S, has this "engaged" tag after her name. So I wtf for a bit, and then ask what the joke is.
"Uh, no...no joke...I'm like...getting married".
Great (we've been flirting like hell over the last few months, and it felt like it was going the right direction).

Chicks obviously run from me. And the thing is, I'm way too young imho to even think about getting this involved with anyone atm (even though I have been starting to get that "yeah, would be cool in five years" vibe).

And they're quite young to be getting married too (26 and 27), I guess I'm just confused.

Is this a beat?

Well...I pretty much know nobody in my generation who's gotten married at this age. Maybe it's a cultural EU != US thing.

Part of it is prolly due to the fact there is no need to get married for health insurance reasons.
