river donk
good live 20 game, three limpers (including villains A and B) to me in the hijack and I raise A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], bb calls, limpers call.
flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet, villain A calls, villain B calls. turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet, villain A tanks a bit, legitimately looks like he's about to fold, and calls. villain B calls. river: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] check, villain B bets. I??? villain A is a tight/passive reasonable player, I barely remember him and we haven't played together in a long time. He thinks I'm a little crazy - my first 4-5 orbits I raised a bunch of limpers out of the big blind and he commented about this. I didn't show many of them down but the last time I bet/3bet him on a jack high two tone flop, bet the turn, river check/check and his AJ is good (he fished my KJs out of the muck). He also got pissed off at me when I bet/3bet him on a board pairing river card with an eight high flush because it's stupid to raise flushes on a paired board. villain B is a regular, winning player. He's tight and aggressive but a little predictable and not aggressive enough IMHO. He also thinks I'm a bit nutty and tries to maneuver to the seat on my left regularly. He will always raise AQ/KQ preflop in his spot. |

Re: river donk
8.5 BB in there with the call on you ? So how often do you feel you can dodge a flush/straight/2pair ? Because as cards come, that was the absolute worst card in the entire deck. I think you win this about 1 time in 15.

Re: river donk
I can't figure out any hands for player B. What would he play that way (limp, check/call, check/call, donk)? If he had something like QJs or QTs, he most likely would have led the flop so jba could eliminate the other players with a raise. He would have popped AK preflop. The only hands that make sense are something like 87 or 98c, or maybe JTs. I guess that would make the river a fold, although I'd probably pay off because I'm a payout donkey on the river.

Re: river donk
98 is double gutted on the flop.
also I'm not 100% sure on whether the T or 6 was the club so stuff like 6c5c is actually possible. |

Re: river donk
given description you should fold every time on this river, expect to see exactly AcTc...
- my hypothesis: hero folded, A checkraised with Ks9s and B 3-bet AcTc then was paid off |

[/ QUOTE ] How about K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]? That sure was an ugly river card which means you don't beat anything anymore but KQo. But if you say he'll raise that PF, I won't argue. |
