Re: PP $22s- open-limping AQs EP
Nope, Raise or fold pf. I lean towards a fold.

Re: PP $22s- open-limping AQs EP
I used to fold this. Working on adding AQs to my lvl1+2 EP starting hands tho.
I am not really into raising here. Too often IŽll get multiple callers at the $22s. If I miss the flop I prolly cannot even c-bet. The real question for me with this hand is postflop. |

Re: PP $22s- open-limping AQs EP
OK, as played I check fold flop and after. That board certainly didn't help you and may have hit someone and if not it's very drawy. Normal continuation bets 3 way with this board probably isn't profitable.

I do the same preflop. Post flop i'd check check on such a draw heavy board.

Re: PP $22s- open-limping AQs EP
preflop looks fine, just give up on the flop - you don't have to win every pot. This one is small and you have nothing.

At these levels, this notion of open-folding AQ is ridiculous. They will pay you off with worse Qs, worse As, and generally worse hands all around. Raise this pre-flop. Limping is marginal, raising is good, folding is deplorable. |

Re: PP $22s- open-limping AQs EP
The reason you limp instead of raise is you can just fold when someone behind raises and you'll be OOP, and generally your hand will play about the same in a limped pot than if you raised (since hands that will limp behind often will just call your 3/4bb raise anyway) and it will keep the pot smaller for the times you miss.
I'd raise AK here mainly because it is a fair bit stronger than AQ. I guess my default raising range here is AK/TT+. I'd limp behind with AJs, AQ and 22-99. |

[/ QUOTE ] So I disagree with like every point you made there. People will raise over limpers with a different range than they will 3-bet against a raiser. You have unnecessarily complicated your hand by limping. Your hand is strong enough to play a "big" pot (3-4x open-raise). And no, players will definitely not call raises with the same hands they would limp with after a limper. [ QUOTE ] I'd raise AK here mainly because it is a fair bit stronger than AQ. [/ QUOTE ] With AQ you're worrying about two more hands than AK, both of which you often will hear from by a 3-bet pre-flop (QQ/AK). That's all. The rest you play just like AK. If you hit TPTK, you bet 2/3 pot and usually get all-in (barring some unusual action), often against worse aces or queens. If you whiff, you treat it like a standard continuation bet or not situation. Like I mentioned in my other response, these players are egregiously horrible. They do not understand things like the gap concept. Make the pot larger with hands like AQ so you can make more money from their mistakes. Players are more willing to get their chips in on a raised pot than an unraised one. |

Re: PP $22s- open-limping AQs EP
AQs i usually raise at that level and open limp AQo. I play the 22s on PP a lot and just hate having to play AQ OOP against like 4 other people. As played, I think you should just check/fold, the pot is pretty small and no point trying to pick it up on a drawwy board where the blinds can have any piece of that.
