Am I worth staking?
-First, I'm not asking for staking in this post.
-I've read through a few of the most recent staking threads and still have some questions/concerns. I recently received interest from a SSNL/MSNL player on these boards in staking me in some MTTs. My feeling is that I am probably decently +EV in the larger field high buy in events...especially some of the Sunday tournies. Up to this point, though, I haven't played much above even low stakes MTTs. I have a significant sample size of 1 Sunday million and 1 min cash. Right now, I play mostly 1 and 2 table SNGs and maybe 15-30 MTTs a week. In general I like to play a lot of tables (15+), but I wouldn't want to play more than a few at the big buyins. If I were to take this backing, I'd like to take some time first playing some midstakes MTTs ($30-$50) on my own and also to study up and improve my game. I find the idea of playing with someone else's money on the line extremely intimidating, and I want to be the most prepared I can be. Here is my recent MTT stats where I'm probably running decently hot, 3 200+ buyin cashes this year. There's also about $2000 that can be added to profit, from a deal in a 5+r. Here is my career SNG graph. I'm running like crap lately in SNGs. Most of the SNGs are from this year, and are done while multitabling 15-20. I think this should help me to have a pretty good skillset for the endgame, though I'm still trying to improve. In general, I move up slow because I'm really nitty with my bankroll, and am spending a lot of the money (largely on school). This would give me the opportunity to take a shot at some games, that I was hoping to play eventually, when I get a chance to build my roll. -So, overall, with the limited information, should the staker feel like he is getting a +EV deal my staking me? -I'm thinking the best deal would be for us to agree on a split of the total profit over some sample, but he'd be able to back out whenever he wanted. I would never want to take any profit from the deal if he were at all in the red. Thoughts on this? -Tell me why I'm horribly naive/stupid/nitty/etc. |

Re: Am I worth staking?
dear god that is a lot of sngs, how have you not killed yourself yet?
it's a very pretty straight line though. anyway with 20% roi in sngs, I'd say it's unlikely you're -EV in the million, assuming you can make good decisions while playing for HIGH STAKES. |

Form: Tilt? Looks like a pretty sweet graph to me. [/ QUOTE ] They put form tilt if you lose 3 in a row or something arbitrary, which is hilarious when you're playing a lot of SNGs. Mine will go from tilt to super hot back to tilt over the course of like two sets of SNGs. |
