Default The rare: The river three bet bluff

Villian is BearGarden on FTP.

He randomly asked me to play HU a few weeks ago and we've played a few short sessions. He almost never 3-bets preflop, in general his bet sizes are indicative of the strength of his hands, but he's not terrible. Hard to tell from HU, but I'd say he's a winner and pretty aggro.

your only getting called by a set of 5's or when he puts you on a bluff, decent spot really.
Slowplaying has just become so uncommon, so he knows that you know he never has a big hand on this flop.
I'm not sure how he expects you to react, or if he is even capable to put this thinking into action.

I think his most likely hand here is aces up. So if you think he can fold that I like it.

seems good, i like it even more if he can fold a weak 2 pair (A-2, A-5).

aejones, what was the logic behind the initial river bet? i dont think he ever has a better hand that folds to the initial $66 bet bet, so it must have been either a value/blocker bet or you were setting him up for 3-bet bluff crazeeeness..?

it was obv value and then he randomly decided that he might be able to make him fold if he threw lots of money at him

These get called way too much if you have a laggy image I think, unless the 3 bet is huge.

I kinda like it but wouldn't try to pull it against BG. I wouldn't be to surprised if he called you with aces up.
