Default 2 Tough hands from my session today

Villain in this hand is 2p2er MikeyPatriot, he's been pretty aggro, and seems to 3bet a decent amount of time. He plays a solid TAG game.

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
4 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $36
Hero: $114.45
SB: $138.55
BB: $131.65

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $3.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $13</font>, BB folds, Hero calls.

Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($27, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $20</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises all-in $101.45</font>, SB folds.
Uncalled bets: $81.45 returned to Hero.

Results:
Final pot: $67

Flop felt like spew, but I didn't know what else to do. If I call I think I find myself in a very difficult turn spot, because I'm not sure if he's capable of double barelling in RR pots.

Villain in this hand is umpa21, who is a nit, but very aggressive. I think he has a set/baby flush here almost always, anybody play this differently?

Hand 1 is tough spot, but I think calling is better. Don't know how MP plays though...

Hand 2 I think is a call, but not by much. You have a bunch of outs if behind (though sometimes you're pretty crushed). If you say this guy is aggro though, then I'd widen his range to some semibluffs, which is what I think weighs it in our favour, that is, unless he never semibluffs like this...

Umpa is a pretty big nit, Id probably just fold the flop against him as I doubt hes leading into 2 people including the PFR without something can beat TPGK.

Hand one is bluff? I really don't think 2p2 regs at nl $100 double barrel that often in reraised pots. Calling the flop seems like the best play here.

oranage, care to explain why h1 is good? seems like if the raise is only called if he's crushed. The only better hands I think he can fold out are TT-QQ I think.

The first hand seems a classic case of folding out weaker hands and better hands calling. TT+ isnt folding this flop (often if ever) but some flush draws here you coudl get $ from, AK will chip in something, I think a smaller bet gets the job done (protecting your hand) without the disadvantages of a shove.

Care to explain why? I don't see the value in shoving here. Is it just because op said is isn't sure about villain's double barreling frequency in reraised pots? The only other reason I can see shoving is beacuse villain could also have a number of draws here. Other than that it seems like this is almost always a bluff in which case our hand wouldn't matter.

we are shoving for value and protection. sometimes its okay to just call flop and fold to anymore aggression, but i think that allows us to be pushed off the best hand on this such board. ie. villan shoves a turn [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Kx or whatever. of course image matters but if you are willing to make a few postflop moves, you'll get called down lighter (ie. i've seen plenty of super aggro tags get called in this spot by stuff like 77 or whatever...sometimes even as light as AK because someone put him on a 'draw').

it sortve blends protection/value/bluff (we might be able to fold out TT SOMETIMES JJ) in one play.
