(NL400) Semi-Bluff Check-Raise all-in when board pairs

He is the fish at the table. In an earlier hand despite his aggression rating he only check-called flop and turn with an overpair JJ and checked again on the river when a Q fell. It appears he plays aggressive when he has the initiave in the hand and passive if he doesn't. I called the flop because I am confident I get paid off if I improve. Is this check-raise a good idea or a bad idea? |

Re: (NL400) Semi-Bluff Check-Raise all-in when board pairs
your're representing a j, if he has one you'll get called, else its a strong play.

i think this [censored] sucks
just lead the turn, c/r the flop, lead the flop, all are viable |

Re: (NL400) Semi-Bluff Check-Raise all-in when board pairs
I don't mind this.
I think you're repping a J very well, + there's a lot of draws he could have picked up on the turn that he would bet with. The fact that he's a fish obviously makes it a little more sketchy, since he might snap call you with like KT or something, but I don't mind this at all. I might raise smaller. I'd often play the flop faster, but not always. |
