FR 2/4$ Time to fold QQ???
Hi folks,
what do you think about this hand. I am thinking about a laydown on the turn. No reads on UTG and MP2 was a very weak player. Bodog 2/4$ 9 Players Hero is UTG+2 Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Preflop UTG bets, 1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 1 fold, BU calls, 2 folds, UTG caps, 3 calls Flop (4 Players 17,5 SB) K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG bets, Hero raises, MP2 calls, BU folds, UTG 3-bets, Hero caps, MP2 calls Turn (3 Players 14,75 BB) A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG bets, Hero calls, MP2 raises All-In (0,5 BB more), 2 calls River (3 Players 19,25 BB) J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG bets, Hero calls |

Re: FR 2/4$ Time to fold QQ???
no way, turn is an easy call for half a bet more with a huge pot and up to 10 outs to a boat. i think i'd raise the river too, although maybe just once.
folding anywhere here is bad. |

Re: FR 2/4$ Time to fold QQ???
Meh, I don't raise the river. That J only changed something if UTG caps with TT or AT or AJ. None of those are the likliest of hands. So I just call and hope the tird calls too.

Re: FR 2/4$ Time to fold QQ???
UTG caps pf, 3-bets flop. I think we beat the unlikely AK.

Re: FR 2/4$ Time to fold QQ???
You can't fold this hand anywhere. pf you've got a broadway pp, you should be happy it's capped. On the flop, you've got the fourth nuts, and numbers one and two (AT/T9) are unlikely to be capped pf, so you should again be happy it's capped.
On the turn, you might be down to one out, sure, but you might have as many as 5 (note that you won't have ten given the preflop action), and you might still have the best hand if JJ/TT/AQs are in UTG's preflop capping range and MP2 is stacking off. On balance, I don't think you have enough to raise, but the pot's way too big to even consider folding without reads. That river is yuck. Given a the way he played this hand, UTG doesn't have AJ or AQ, and AK/TT is seriously unlikely. If you get 3-bet, calling is spew but you can't fold, so just call and improve your read. |
