Gambling it up early in live 200, comments on two appreciated
Both hands were within the first 20 minutes of tournament, no reads. I think this is pretty standard play, but would appreciate any feedback on how you would play these hands.
Starting stack 2000, I'm up to about 2600 Blinds 25/25 I'm in the SB with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] , 4 limpers to me, I raise to 75 Flop J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet 300 Folded to MP limper who raises to 700 (1100 behind), everybody folds, I raise all in. Second hand I'm on the button with 1010 Blinds still 25/25 MP raises to 125 I have 650 behind. |

1. your preflop raise is way too small. i would complete (or hhowever that works on 25/25...two checks?), but if i had to raise, id make it 175-200. yes i would put it in. opponent is likely to be overplaying 1 pair, and you wuold be a favorite. or even with a set, youre a 3-1 dog
hand 2, id push |

Hand 1: with 4 limpers and AQs OOP raise to like 200-250. The rest is standard. Hand 2: Depends on the villian. Without reads push.

I'm also not thrilled about shoving over someone who has just raised for 40% of his stack (no FE.) The fact that u only have a backdoor SD and maybe one overcard (AJ and QJ are hands that might raise here) also diminishes your overall equity in this pot. |
