I work on Beacon Hill in Boston. Easily the richest square mile in MA, not to mention the most wackjobs in a square mile as well.

My office rents space in a 5 story walk-up from a lady who is worth over 100 million dollars and has never worked a day in her batshiate-crazy life.

For some reason, whenever she leaves the house (for a swim, or to go to the library....always frivolous), she feels the need to come up and 'borrow' some dude in my offices' T pass so she doesn't have to pay the $1.25. Four times a week, easily.

On more than one occasion, she has neglected to return the pass at the end of the day, leaving Joe Schmoe with no pass for the ride home.

She also talks in that high-pitched, blue-blood voice 24/7, which just adds insult to injury. She's like a caricature of herself.

Why do people do this? I know the richer you are, the more likely you're a cheapass, but damn it pisses me off.
