Default I\'m a station

Stacks $200 effective

UTG+1 (25/20 kinda aggro 2+2 LAGTAG) raises to $8, I call on the button with 66. Blinds fold.

Flop ($19) 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He bets $16, I call.

Turn ($51) J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He bets $38, I call

River ($127) 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He checks, I check.

fwiw I may play 33 the same (just have a little problem with him bluffing with hands like 55/66 here). Thoughts?

Not terrible, but you lose to 77-TT. I would play the same way and be shown up by those hands. If I raise the turn, it puts them to the tough choice. So in retrospect of hands like these...raise the turn.

The whole idea behind calling with this hand is that he likely doesn't value bet any bigger pair for value on the turn since Jx is a big part of my range and there are hardly any worse hands I can call with.

This is the kind of thing that I just don't catch very often when I'm playing. That can't be a good sign. 10k hands of four tabling here we come!

I love threads like these soo much. I came in thinking I had the hand sussed, and now I have absolutely no clue. However, I have tonnes of thoughts and questions in my head raised by me and other posters. Concepts like the ones here can be applied soo much whilst playing, I think its just getting into the habit of thinking about them.

I think raising the turn puts you in a situation where you lose the most and win the least

Well, the point is I don't think he bets most pocket pairs here, so obviously he has a boat/quads/air. Vs. this range raising would be totally pointless.

You think he's betting Ax/boat/quads more often than a PP/boat/quads?

He should have a pocket pair very often here. If he's betting into you twice with air, he should bet the river too...it's a perfect spot to triple barrel...but I guess he doesn't know what that means.

So you want to bluff? This is my point. You win the least (he folds worse hands) and you lsoe the most (he snapcalls Js)
