Default Poker Class?

I'm going to be a freshman in college next year, so forgive my ignorance.

What class ties in most closely with poker? I'm speaking in terms of an "elective" btw, a minor class I can select in order to explore a secondary interest like cooking or dance or something like that. Do they have straight up Game Theory classes at any universities? If not, what would be a close equivalent?

I can't imagine any university not having a game theory course in either the econ or math departments. In the case of Northwestern, we have multiple game theory courses in both departments.

I took a Game Theory class here at Pitt. We talked about poker a fair bit. Unfortunately if you are already a fairly experienced poker player you're not really going to learn anything new. If you're totally unread it will help; I'd probably just read Theory of Poker instead of taking the class.

I'd recommend probability

before that class I didn't have much of an idea of how to calculate exact probabilties of certain events (flopping a straight, etc) by hand, now I can do it in a flash.

I just wanted to say I understood outs/ev before I took any stats/game theory class.

I'm an BizEcon major so I've taken a year of stats, AP stats in HS, and have learned a bit of game theory in my intermediate micro classes. I don't think any of them really helped me understand the game significantly more.
