Default TT on BTN, millions limpers

I'm guessing my image must not be that good, I've been hitting cards lately.
Quite unusual situation with all those limper.

Cash game limit 1/2
I'm sitting in the button with 1010
4 players limp, I should... ?

I'm thinking its instant raise but I'm mostly beat to a high card with all those limper. They probably wont be going anywhere if I raise.
So Should I just call and play for set value only?

I'll give the rest of the hand if I get some responces

Raise, all day long, and all day tomorrow too.

You raise this hand to exploit your edge in equity.
Against 4 (i'm assuming loose limpers) you have a hand that figures to win more than 30% of the time yet only have to contribute 20% of the pot. This is an edge that you need to raise to exploit.
Sure overcards may come on the flop to de value your hand but preflop, while you are ahead, get the money in the pot.

And you will have position on the field & likely get it checked to you, where you can take a 4 card flop if you want.

If you call, then yes you're only playing it for set value.

If you raise you might knock out the blinds at least. Then if something like A75 flops it's possible that:
a) it gets checked around to you
b) you know that you're beat by the time it gets to you so you can fold.

If you c-bet people might think 'he's got AQ again' and you might drag it there. Or they call your bet and you know they might have a piece... they check to you again on the turn and you check through. You've seen 5 cards for the price of 2SB pre-flop raise and a SB c-bet post-flop.

If they raise your flop c-bet then you look at pot odds and decide. I might call it and release on the turn.

So when you pre-flop raise you get the opportunity to represent a hand you don't have if you miss the flop and potentially see a lot of cards cheap, whereas if you just call all you got is the set value.

But then as it's been pointed out before, I've never played live, so what do I know.

Thanks for those answer,
As I was saying in OP I was hitting cards so lets see how this develops.

I raised, SB called, BB folded, all limpers called.
Flop 10c-7h-Qh

It was checked to me like you (kingotter) said could happend. So I could check for a 4 flop

Here I betted b/c I'm with the best hand here alot, SB call and one of the limper only.

A heart fell on the turn. That wasnt fun.
Checked to me again, would you bet here?
