Straight Facing Open Push on the River
Villain is running 24/22/8. He is extremely aggressive.
He's been stealing a lot and has fired a lot of continuation bets. I also know he's capable of firing second barrels. My PAHud recorded him as stealing the blinds 60% of the time. So I called this pf to try and slow him down and I was going to float his cbet (I've lately gotten no respect in reraising the cbet) and fire on the turn no matter what. Well, I hit my miracle gutter on the turn, and I reraise small hoping to seem weak. Well, I was just wondering given the action what you would do on the river? And what you would do on the turn to induce more action? I know he's a thinking player and is capable of moves. Turbo call. Sucks if he hit runner runner but whatever. This is a set a lot of the time.

Re: Straight Facing Open Push on the River
he has to raise a set on the turn and your raise is definitely small considering the stack sizes.

Re: Straight Facing Open Push on the River
flop call is also a wee bit sketchy unless you plan to take it away elsewhere without hitting... which doesn't sound likely vs. this opponent.

[/ QUOTE ] Well, I was going to fire the turn without hitting because I felt as if villain was firing a lot of hands. He hasn't shown down a single hand yet, and has chipped up from just pure aggression. I called with the intention of trying to take it away on the turn. |
