Re: Espn filming wich WSOP Events
Olivert says:
According to data found in the ESPN schedule database at intltv.espn.com: Only 8 bracelet events will be televised along with HORSE and the Main Event. The televised bracelet events are events #1, 3, 4, 8, 13, 28, 30, and 31, with events #1 ($5000 Limit/No Limit) and #31 ($5000 heads-up) getting 2 hours of TV time each and the other 6 getting 1 hour of TV time each. Telecast dates will be Tuesdays July 10-August 14 (except July 24). The $50000 HORSE will get 10 hours of TV time in October-November. The Main Event will get 12 hours of TV time in August-September. |

The $50000 HORSE will get 10 hours of TV time in October-November. [/ QUOTE ] Seriously? If true I am shocked. I never thought any network would attempt substantive coverage of split pot games. |

The definition of HE is pretty simple. The other games, not so much. |

Re: Espn filming wich WSOP Events
If they really are doing this, then maybe it will be one game per 1 hour episode (at least until the final table), so it's not like they would be explaining all the games on every episode.

I don't expect any Hi-Lo Split hands. |

[/ QUOTE ] Saw this on: http://pokerontv.blogspot.com/ [ QUOTE ] One of the biggest changes is the coverage of the HORSE event (branded the "World Series of Poker Players Championship"), which will consist of six one-hour shows, instead of the one-hour final table which was shown last year. Additionally, the format for the final table will continue to include all five games in HORSE (hold 'em, Omaha, razz, stud and eight or better) instead of changing to strictly no-limit hold 'em play. Making its debut will be the $5,000 heads-up event. .... the main event, which will receive 16 hours of coverage, an increase of four hours from last year. [/ QUOTE ] |
