i\'ve officially stopped using \"hooked-up\"
This is the stupidest term ever. There are multiple different definitions, and they all are fairly common. I recommend everyone stop using this because it's clear none of the uses will ever become standard. Whenever I hear this, I have to stop and ask what they mean before we can continue the conversation.
The ridiculous thing is that it can be making out, everything except sex, or specifically sex. lol what a joke.

It can also have no sexual meaning in certain contexts. "Hey Jim and I are gonna go hook up and catch a movie" does not imply anything dirty in some circles.

I have no problem with this use of the term, or obviously something like, "Jim hooked me up with a new bike."
