yea easily negreanu, his chatter throws off young players but against pros he gives away his hand alot. He gets alot more chatty when weak.

Against Wendel Barnes in Tunica. Daniel hit top set on the flop and Barnes made top and bottom pair with Ad3d. First off, look how quiet and focused Daniel gets pre-flop when he peeks down at AsAh from the big blind and reraises Barnes. Notice how he kind of slouches down and is almost dismissive of any small talk. After he hits top set, look how deliberate he is when he c/c the flop and then c/c Barnes's all-in on the turn. Also in Tunica, there is a hand where DN has AQ and makes top two. Notice how quiet and focused he is there. And on HSP against Townsend and GH with sets. Compare this to the WSOP coverage last yr during the ME. Whenever he is relatively weak and had middle pair he talks aloud way more. EVen when he has Ak off against that indian guy's QQ preflop and he knows he is behind, he called a huge reraise and is a chatterbox.

It seems like almost all players who talk a lot unwittingly give out a lot of tells.

I don't know about the "most," but I think I noticed that Matusow does a certain head tilt when he is bluffing or semi-bluffing. Plus, I think two years back in the ME on ESPN author Matt Hilger displayed a pretty strong one by remaining completely immobile (and I mean statuesque) when he was firing two barrels with AT on a small card board. Think it was MH, sorry if I have it wrong.

But thinking you get tells on players based on TV viewing where you can see holecards runs the risk of the "post hoc, ergo propter hoc" fallacy.
