But I know he\'s weak!
30 left in some 20+2 10k guarantee. I've been pretty active, made a few raises and some reraises lately. When I raised the button here, I felt like one of the blinds was probably gonna resteal, because they definetly wouldn't believe me.
So I feel like either I should raise and be willing to call a shove or just fold. Is this a bad way to think? My hand might just be too weak against his range to call, its kinda borderline to me I'm not too great with the math, I would really love to know what kind of range he needs to have to call here with price I'm getting. Re: But I know he\'s weak!
If you're pretty sure you're going to get played back at, and all you have is a medium strength hand, you should limp or fold pre-flop. button raises look like steals and they already are going to think you're stealing. now is the time to tighten up and wait for a real hand - then when they don't believe you, it's good for you.
as played, fold to the push. even though they may think you're an idiot, they at least have a pair or or an ace so you're most likely behind. |

One thing is, anyone obersving this surely won't resteal much from you later. Which is nice.

Re: But I know he\'s weak!
Getting 3:2 and putting him on a wide range of hands I would call for sure.

It's still a point in the discussion though. |

Re: But I know he\'s weak!
i agree with fiksdal
you got a feeling that hes gonna reraise you then ask yourself do i wanna call with this hand ?? after you answered that qeustion you can either fold or raise qeustion even tho its putting your tourney life on the line wouldnt pushing be better ? seeing raising from button just gives BB more FE when he pushes ? |

Re: But I know he\'s weak!
wasn't trying to sound like an ass, just thought that the point wasn't important to this hand/situation... not that i don't first ask myself if that is relevent.
good to know you consider it too i'm implying you don't neeed to fret about it here |
