5 handed. I have $328 and villain covers. I have K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I raise to $8 in the CO. Villain calls on the button. Flop ($19): K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet $14. Villain calls. Turn ($47): A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet $35. Villain calls. River ($117): 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I bet $100. He pushes. Its 120 or so for me to call. I?!?!?! |

If he would do it with A8/AQ or air you call otherwise all you beat is bluff. You are getting very sick odds though, it's hard to get away.

Your odds are so good I cannot fold here. 88 is in his range too. He did not raise the turn, so a straight or flush is not really likely.
But, a royal flush makes sense given his line. Is check-calling the river a crime? |

It's 171 to call if the effective stacks are 328. I'm heavily leaning towards folding vs such a passive player, I just can't imagine them doing it with anything other than the flush or at least the straight. Besides that, I don't really like the 5/6 bet on the river after the betting 3/4 2x beforehand. IMO it screams flush and I don't think you get called by much at all here(mostly considering their stats).
