Which 22 yr old? Timmy or Bird
I build a rejuvenation machine, and pop in Tim Duncan & Larry Bird. Out they come, and they're both now 22 yrs old. As the GM of an expansion franchise, you get to pick one.

I wanted to go Duncan, Duncan, but I'd be lying to myself. I went Duncan, Bird, and that's why I made this poll. I'm hoping that I'm not the only screwed up guy around.

I would want the great center over the great foward. Bird, however, is probably a greater foward than Duncan is a center. Let's look at a more extreme example for clarity. Say you had the choice between drafting the best punter of all time or a pro-bowl QB. You would take the QB, because QBs are so much more valuable. But the punter is the greater player, because he is the best of all time at his position.

also to kind of play devils advocate with your punter theory
was domique williams vince carter, someone like that more of an all-time great than duncan due to their superb dunking ability

For a football comparison, I think its more like saying would you rather have a 22 year old Tom Brady or Barry Sanders.
