Default Driving from Atlanta to Charlotte

As the title states, I will be driving from Atlanta, GA to Charlotte, NC. Are the any casinos that are sort of on the way. I am willing to drive out of the way a few hours, if something is around.

I'm just hoping not to go south, and doubleback up north, or similar.

any ideas.

thanks.

The Cherokee reservation in the Great Smoky Mountains is the only one I know of. Haven't been there in years. It used to be machines only and once they "fixed" the good beatable blackjack machines, I moved on. They didn't use to serve alcohol. You could give 'em a call and see what the current conditions are. I haven't heard of a poker game there. It sure would be a great location if they would only make some changes and be a real full service casino.

The trip from Atlanta to Charlotte is a whole 250 miles.

It goes across three States, Georgia (which does not allow any casino gambling), South Carolina (which had a hell of a time even getting a state lottery let alone casinos), and North Carolina which only has the single Cherokee "Casino".

The Cherokee is the poorest excuse for a casino in the entire country, by State Law games using cards are not allowed. It is just a big poor-payoff slot machine barn.

Since you are in Atlanta, your best bet would be to book a quick flight from the Atlanta airport to Vegas for the weekend or something before you go to Charlotte.
