Is my professor a member of 2p2?
Today, while explaining an example to someone in our lecture, he ended his explanation with 'Do you see why?'
Also, this is a question from one of our old homework's: "At the end of a poker game, there is $1200 in the pot. You can fold and you don’t win or lose any (more) money. You can also call, which in this case means that you pay $400 to see who wins. If you lose, you lose the $400. If you win, you win the $1200 and you get your $400 back. You figure that you have a 30% chance of winning. Suppose your strategy is to maximize your average winnings over many Poker games. Do you fold or call? Justify your answer for full credit. (Please ignore the many nuances of poker, such as, the additional benefit that you get to see your opponent’s hand if you call and can then learn something about his or her style of play.)" We have also had other in class examples that related to poker. WHAT IT(HE) DO BBV? |

[/ QUOTE ] That question does not make sense. Do you see why? |

[ QUOTE ] That question does not make sense. Do you see why? [/ QUOTE ] I don't see why. [/ QUOTE ] Because 400 is 30% of 1200 LDO so it doesnt matter what you do. You will win money in the long run if you call or fold. |
