Things about Pokah that really piss you off
I just thought it might be nice for everybody to vent some things that really make us angry whilst playing pokah. For me, there are some special ones for playing live Texas Hold'em, and I'd thought I'd share them with you:
1) When folding a small pair preflop and flopping a set or quads 2) When folding the small blind with a garbage hand like 92 and the flop comes 992 3) When players erroneously say "That would have been a bad beat. If you would have had pocket xx, we would have had the bad beat." 4) When I get AA, I have looked, and it's a misdeal 5) When the river card makes my hand and for one reason or another they re-shuffle it back in the deck and bring out another one. I'm sure there are plenty more. Feel free. -J |

For me, there are some special ones for playing live Texas Hold'em, and I'd thought I'd share them with you: 1) When folding a small pair preflop and flopping a set or quads Then always play small pairs 2) When folding the small blind with a garbage hand like 92 and the flop comes 992 Then, play every hand 3) When players erroneously say "That would have been a bad beat. If you would have had pocket xx, we would have had the bad beat." I don't get this one. Never happened to me in 40 years 4) When I get AA, I have looked, and it's a misdeal The don't look until its your turn to act 5) When the river card makes my hand and for one reason or another they re-shuffle it back in the deck and bring out another one. Yeah, this one can be annoying, just shoot the dealer I'm sure there are plenty more. Feel free. -J [/ QUOTE ] Toungue in cheek here, obviously, but the first two at least should never upset you unless you don't want to play well. Really, the best way to get better at this game is to have a very thick skin. |

minraising minbetting in large pots when ppl block, its obviously a block, and they still call my raise (obvi with air...i dont have hands) when the idiot on ur right nails every draw imaginable. Live 08 old people ppl that talk durrin big pots (when they rnt in the pot) ppl that talk about the hand they folded the hand b4, that wud have hit a.) the last flop, or b.) this flop (cuz for some odd reason, im supposed to give a flying [censored]) this list cud go on forever, but thats what ill give u for now... |

Re: Things about Pokah that really piss you off
1) Getting people to put in all their money with only 2-4 outs and them constantly hitting it.
2) Never winning a race. I've kept stats on that for the last six months and I've lost 78 percent of all races. |

Re: Things about Pokah that really piss you off
1. In a sng having AA 2x near the bubble bring it in for a standard raise that pot commits you on any flop and shoving against the flopped nuts.
2. Overbetting the pot and having a donkey hit his 2 outer after the flop. 3. Playing home games with idiots who rant about how a play money villain cracked AA with J5 when the money went in pf. 4. Table coaches, especially the bad ones that call down with 2nd pair who bitch when they get drawn out on even though he bet enough to price in a draw that beats him. 5. Loose idiots who bet when they shouldn't when I want to see a cheap showdown and can't call because the other player in the hand might raise. |
