So is UB and AP merging or what?
Does any know for sure when or if this is happening? When the player base will mix?

Link??? [/ QUOTE ] LOL where have you been? Anyway, to the OP - I think what you see is as merged as it will get. There was a thread or two on here about this, and IIRC I think the conclusion was that they were going to run seperately under the same ownership. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. |

Missed this completely. The player base is very different at least from my experience...

There was a lot of talk a couple of months back on these boards about how the merge would work...different software, 9 vs 10 player tables, bonus programs, rakeback programs, etc, etc. However, it appears this might have been much ado about nothing in the end. |

Missed this completely. [/ QUOTE ] Don't worry. Lots of people chatting about it, but no hard evidence to support they have merged, will merge, or even considered it. Most of the talking was parroting of the same old nonsense. Been quiet since November of last year. |

The more interesting story is that Party and Stars are merging, will accept US players, and will have rakeback.

Re: So is UB and AP merging or what?
Lame. Why not merge? They would be the #3 u.s. site. Plus more would join once they see how big they are.

Re: So is UB and AP merging or what?
If they combine player bases they might be able to have more than 1 or 2 full ring games going. So it is a no-go.
UB had a shot years ago to be the #1 site and blew it. They have been providing total non-support and doing their best to piss customers off ever since. Absolute continues to do all it can to not grow, also. Since they both seem so hell-bent on non-growth, they deserve each other. Combining player bases would have some positive benefits, so forget that. By keeping each site seperate, imagine the back office duties and processes that require duplication, raising the overhead expenses. If they ever did advertise, it would only be 50% effective, since they would have to pump one site or the other. Pure Genius to avoid profits. |
