In the heat of battle I would probably incorrectly bet this.

I think we need to check here. If we feel we are behind to villian the 8 did not improve our hand. I take the free river card.

I would bet.

It's hard to put the BB on any hand as he was on the big blind but he might have an ace or something else that completely missed the flop.

Without knowing what the player is like, I would bet, firstly he might fold, secondly we do have a flush draw, even though it is a fairly week one. Finally we have a pair which might be enough if he has an ace or jack.

I think he has either missed the flop or is drawing. If he had hit the flop then I think we would bet.

He maybe going for a checkraise but it hards to come to any conclusions with no player background.

bet the flush draw

i bet again and can think of 4 reasons right now (this may be the same reason expressed in different ways):

1) villain may not have anything and will fold to our bet right away (we might be bluffing but he doesn't have anything/we are firing a 2nd barrel which is pretty common in these situations whether we have a hand or not, so we might have a hand)

2) we are value betting the best hand already

3) with position this bet may buy us a free showdown if we don't improve to a more lock hand on the river.

4) if we are behind now, which is certainly possible, we have a lot of outs to a more lock hand (i figure it at 13-ish outs, some are a bit dirty, so maybe 10-11 to be safe? ((to two pair, trips, or the flush))

How can this be? I tried to fiture out if this would be a value bet or not and could not see that it would be.

What if villain raises?

I would call a 50% increase in the number of outs we have an improvement. Having bet teh flop, I also bet the turn and take a free showdown UI. I don't bet the flop 100%, tho.

Edit:

it just seems hard to argue i played the hand well when i put money in bad on 3/4 streets, but i guess its probly fine

FTOP: you played bad, he played worse? And, fwiw you didn't play the hand poorly given what he was showing you, but he played the hand awfully given your read on yourself.

Against a maniac you're calling down second pair from the flop? (The preflop call with Q7o is ok, I guess, but I sure as hell don't love it.)

I'm way too hungover. That didn't make any sense. I would bet the turn fwiw.
