Missed Small Blind
If I miss the small blind, when I return how much should I have to pay?
According to Robert's Rules of Poker, only the small blind is payable as this is the only blind I missed. But some online places seem to charge you the BB or both (and the SB is dead of course). I realise that different places will have different rules. What is the generally accepted rule? |

Re: Missed Small Blind
You only owe the sb but you will not get dealt in on the button. You will have to wait 1 more hand.

Re: Missed Small Blind
I've run into this in a few casinos as well. Stupid in my opinion, but as always, it pays to know the rules of the location you're playing. As long as it is applied consistently it really doesn't matter.

I've never seen anyone compelled to pay a missed blind if they're willing to sit out. I've only played in Chicago, Northern Cali, Michigan and Vegas, so I could have missed some weird rule. |

Re: Missed Small Blind
The trop in AC makes you pay for your missed blind. I don't know about the other rooms there. I can't remember what the borgata does. I don't know that I've missed a blind there, but I haven't played that much.
