Re: nl200 overpair facing all-in
it looks like BB wanted u in the hand with the weak PF 3bet...
he shoved over ur flop raise...with no reads, i fold this as we beat 10s and not much else on a rainbow flop... |

Re: nl200 overpair facing all-in
Why'd you raise the flop?

Re: nl200 overpair facing all-in
Flops raise stinks, you turned your hand into a bluff.

Re: nl200 overpair facing all-in
to be honest, there isn't an exact reasoning for raising this flop. I mostly did it because his original preflop raise looked very much like QQ+ or even AQ+ and i didnt not want to be stuck if the turn came a Q,K, or A. I was hoping to just take the pot down right here. When he shoved, i was about 90% sure he had me beat, which means he most likely would have bet the turn leaving me with another call or fold situation which i did not want to be in.

Re: nl200 overpair facing all-in
raising this flop is horrible if you intend on folding to a shove.

Re: nl200 overpair facing all-in
Since you don't have a read on this player I would call the flop and fold to a decent bet on the turn UI. There is no reason to be rasing this flop unless you have a read Villain is a super nit and can fold QQ+.

Re: nl200 overpair facing all-in
Everyone is saying that the flop raise is *bad*, and I disagree. However I will often just call, esp in a pot RRed from a blind.
That said, given the way you actually played the hand, I definitely fold to the flop push. |
