Wouldn't be surprised if he made some huge hand and is trying to get back all his missed value on the river by overbetting the pot.

I doubt someone with a .6 AF is going to float you. I think he planned on check-raising you on the turn but you checked behind.

There is a fair chance he missed his checkraise on the turn hence the overbet out of frustration
