Facing a limp/reraise...
Pokerstars finally came back up and I'm sitting in this tourney that I registered for. I haven't been at the table too long, maybe 3-4 hands.
EDIT: 1+.20 18man tourney Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t10/t20 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t1090 UTG+1: t1450 MP1: t1540 MP2: t1470 MP3: t1100 Hero: t1370 Button: t1120 SB: t1500 BB: t2860 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls t20 (pot was t30), MP1 calls t20 (pot was t50), MP2 folds, MP3 calls t20 (pot was t70), Hero raises to t120, 2 folds, BB calls t100 (pot was t210), UTG+1 folds, MP1 raises all-in t1540, MP3 calls all-in t1080, Hero ??? I can't stand this stupidity. |

Re: Facing a limp/reraise...
What level buy in is this because I think it matters.
MP1 limped after a limper so he does not have AA/KK unless he is very sophisticated. Unless David Sklansky Jr. is sitting in MP3's shoes he does not have AA. No one is limping with KK after 2 limpers. I think both MP1 and MP2 have small pocket pairs. Probably something like 6's and 7's. I guarantee you are not dominated in this spot, but I am almost certain one of these guys has a pocket pair. I am pushing in here and hoping to triple up knowing I am not even close to dominated. |

Re: Facing a limp/reraise...
Given the buy in I am pushing here every time. Wouldnt be surprised to see Ax or TJs.

Re: Facing a limp/reraise...
buyin matters.
20$ and less and this is an instacall. Over that and I might muck if these players are both supposedly good AQo and AJo are in their ranges for gods sake in a cheap buyin. Besides you have AKs first level, MULTIWAYSALLYOUCANEATBABY, and LOL donkaments if you lose |

Re: Facing a limp/reraise...
I called because I highly doubt that he's holding AA or KK. I also called because my hand was suited.
MP1 turned over 88 and MP3 turned over A6o. I failed to catch anything and I was out. |

Re: Facing a limp/reraise...
so knowing their hands, heres ranges even tighter than as bad as these guys were:
Hand 0: 46.003% 40.82% 05.19% 80 10.17 { AKs } Hand 1: 26.616% 23.47% 03.15% 46 6.17 { 77+, A9s+, KTs+, QTs+, ATo+, KQo } Hand 2: 27.381% 23.47% 03.91% 46 7.67 { 77+, A9s+, KTs+, QTs+, ATo+, KQo } You have huge overlay here making this call in this spot, too bad it didnt turn out |

Re: Facing a limp/reraise...
Thanks 4Card, that makes me feel better. It seems to be the case that that I'm normally the favorite, but never hold up. A hand as bad as T4 could call me and catch a 4. That's how unlucky I am - most of the time.

Re: Facing a limp/reraise...
ya, easy call at this buyin. Don't be results oriented as you can see most of the time you won't win the hand. It's still easily +ev. Just fire up a new one and continue to make good plays.
