NL25: KK vs 3 flush broadway 2 Aces draw heavy board
I wanted to take this hand down on the flop so I bet full pot because the board was so dangerous, perhaps I should've overbet the pot?
I checked behind on the turn hoping to make a royal flush on the river (ho ho). I really didn't feel my KK was good, maybe I should've just not bothered betting the flop. Edit: forgot to mention villain was basically unknown as I had not been sat down long. Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 5 players Converter Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero raises to $1, 3 folds, BB calls. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($2.1, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $2, BB calls. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($6.1, 2 players) BB checks, Hero checks. River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($6.1, 2 players) BB bets $6, Hero folds. Uncalled bets: $6 returned to BB. Results: Final pot: $6.1 As a side note, since depositing at Party today after hearing the games were nice, I hit the most ridiculous run of hands I've ever had, I think I had KK at least 3 times, JJ more than that, one of which hit a set, quad 5's all kinds of BS over about 200 hands. |

Re: NL25: KK vs 3 flush broadway 2 Aces draw heavy board
I am probably betting the turn here ($4) with my monster draw + hand that might be best, and to rep the ace. The only exception is if my opponent habitually slowplays his big pairs (if I can put him on a probable ace). That way I can see a showdown and not get pushed out by showing weakness on the turn. If I miss the river, I check behind or fold, and if I hit it, I bet or raise. As played, I guess it's a fold on the river, but he could be pushing you out without an ace.
