Default Am I in the wrong? Or is this standard?

On my way home on the highway I was doing 75MPH in the HOV lane ( around 7:30PM not much traffic ) The speed limit is 65 MPH.

There is a car in front of me about 3 car lenghts, So i'm keeping a standard distance for doing 75 MPH.

SUV comes up behind me some what quick and starts to flash his high beams. (trying to get me to speed up or switch lanes)

This is a big pet-peeve(sp?) of mine. I continue going 75 MPH cause if i go any faster i'll be tailing the guy in front of me.

The SUV starts to get Angrier and starts to flash em more, then decides to just leave them on.

After a good 15 seconds fo him leaving them on and tailing me, I do the following

1. Speed up 5-10 MPH
2. Slam my breaks
3. Floor it.

Me slamming my breaks scares the [censored] out of the guy causing him to have to pull over into the emergency lane, because he was scared he was going to hit me.

Once he gets back into the lane and behind me again he does the same thing again, So i get out of the HOV lane to let him pass me.

I get behind him and turn my high beams on(standard?)

This makes him slow down to 30mph(not hitting breaks hard) i turn the high beams off he speeds up back to normal. Once he's doing 65 i turn my high beams on again and he starts slowing down to 20-30mph

I get out of the HOV lane, do a sinster laugh and take my exit.

Was I in the wrong?

Sorry but this is correct. When someone is going faster than you in the left lane, you move over and let that person pass. You're probably lucky you didn't get in a bad accident behaving like a child.

OP is obviously a retard, but this is wrong. if you're already following someone there's no reason to trade spots with the car coming up behind you.

But the end result is likely not that you're just trading spots. The car in front of OP is going at that speed and not moving because no one is pressuring him to do so. Once OP gets out of the way, the faster car is going to pull the same tactics on the lead car, and he'll move. Then OP and the lead car will resume at the previously set pace. This is the natural course of things and you really shouldn't mess with it.

In short, OP is a prick.

For the braking crap yes. For not getting out of the lane . . . no.

Where do some of you people live. Do they not have freakin driving schools there ?

The #1 Golden Rule when driving is KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS. The left most lane on any stretch of road is for PASSING. Once you have completed your pass AND/OR someone comes up behind you going faster, GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY, by moving to the right. It's common freakin courtesy. To the morons who say that they shouldn't have to move if they are already speeding . . your dad's were obviously pussies who had no freakin clue about driving and as such were not able to pass on to you the # 1 GOLDEN RULE OF DRIVING.

Now with that being said.

HOV stands for High Ocupancy Vehicle. Only vehicles with multiple passengers may travel in these lanes. HOV lanes are generally on the left side of the road. The problem with them being on the far left is that idiots like the OP encountered often try to apply the Golden Rule to that lane as well. Most of these idiots think that HOV stands for High Output Vehicle and drive like morons. The HOV lane is NOT the fast lane. If you are travelling in the HOV lane and come up behind someone in front of you the correct thing to do is to move to the right into the FAST lane and go around the person. If the fast lane is actually moving slower than the HOV lane then you are STUCK going whatever speed the person in front of you dictates because the Golden Rule DOES NOT APPLY in the HOV lane.

I was doingf 75 MPH with a car in front of me doing 75 mPH that was 20 ft in front of me?

Why should i get out of the HOV lane so he can take my spot and i can take his spot and we'd be in the exact same speed just he'd be in front of me and i'd be behind him. It makes no sense.

If he's that much in a rush, he can go around me.

If I am doing 10mi over the speed limit in any lane, I will never, EVER change lanes for someone flashing their high-beams behind me. I'm already doing more than the speed limit, if you want to go past me then you can go around me yourself or lick my balls, but I ain't movin', I'm already breaking the law so your sorry ass can speed behind me.

Jesus people get on a high horse about driving. Someone wants to pass you in the passing lane, let them pass. I don't see why this has to become a pride issue or whatever.
