Re: Some Questions For Europe
I spent a semester in Brussels so this is all form that.
1.Shold I bring cash or traverlers checks, I wanna bring the max 10k for sure? They have ATMs in europe too. Check with your bank about the fee, they range from like 5 dollars a transation to like 20 and/or a % of withdrawl. If it's 5 this might be a better idea than bringing 10k with you. In general I suggest not carrying large amounts of cash around with you. Lots of people on my study abroad program were mugged in different places, including myself in Brussels. Maybe look into opening an ING checking account before you go? do they have them in the US now? 2.Should I get one of the backpacking things I have no clue about this? I suggest yes but use it like an easy to carry suitcase. Leave it where ever you're staying in each city and if you need to bring a day bag or something too. Giant bags mean "I'm american mug me." Without the bag maybe you're a transplanted american at least. 3.I am going for about a month how many weeks of clothes should I bring, and what is the weather like in Europe during the days and night? 4, ldo. If you're concerned about packing too much maybe bring 2-3 weeks worth and do laundry once. It's pretty easy to find a laundry place, at least in western europe, i dunno about eastern. 4.How hard is it to bring xanax and ambien through customs or security since I have very hard times sleeping on moving transportation. I think there are 2 ways to do this, bring the Rx with you and keep it in its original bottle and declare it, or put it in a advil bottle and check it in your bag. Are you white? then i think it shouldn't be an issue. As for laws becuase of the EU once you get to the mainland it wont be an issue bringing it from one place to another. If you get it into europe its not a problem. |

Carrying large amounts of cash while being tired after at 10+ hour flight is bat [censored] annoying. If you can get it in very large denominations, and figure out how to carry the bills in a comfortable and secure way i.e. something that is easy to hold onto, even when you have been sitting on your delayed plane for 20 hours, then cash is probably a bit easier than check. Why not get one of those "credit cards"? 2.Should I get one of the backpacking things I have no clue about this? How do you feel about backpacks in general? Annoyed? Excited? Aroused?? 3.I am going for about a month how many weeks of clothes should I bring, and what is the weather like in Europe during the days and night? Fill a suitcase with clothes, this is what you will be needing. If you go to Aspen, it is pretty cold. In Rome it is warmer. The nights are colder than the days, since there are no sunshine. |
