Looks like a good fold without any good reads on villian you don't want to risk your whole stack with one pair.

most other times i would not advise a fold here, but because he is in the big blind, that changes things. Big blind could have called with anything. I would have played it exactly the same.

Tough one. I don't mind your fold--you're behind to any 7, 98, sets, and also, any two spades have redraws against you. But keep an eye on this guy. If he keeps making moves like this on the turn, you may want to call in a similar spot. Reads like this can be very profitable.

why raise the turn?

if he's not got a hand he may well get scared by the board pairing - if he's got a 7 he'll take you to valuetown.

call turn - call modest bet on river - profit.
