Default AK with KQJ rainbow facing a c/r on the flop. What now?!?!

Villain is 27/22/5.67 over 45 hands

I'm put him at hands like KQ, KJ, AT, JJ. Aside from having the same AK hand as mine, I really don't know what else he would c/r me with.

What do you guys think?

I forgot to mention that my table image is fairly LAG. I've been raising more pf with little calling. Those who do call fold to my c-bets.

I am prob 3betting the flop to see where he really stands, He could easily have just AK, AQ, K10, Q10, looking for a fold, or just trying to protect. I put him on a single pair more often then a straight, and he might even be willing to fold QJ and POSSIBLY KJ but thats more unlikely.

I dont know if I am just giving up this easily.

I don't see AQ, K10, Q10 check-raising at all. Why would he trap with such mediocre hands? And if I 3-bet, I will fold those hands, and get called with KJ, KQ, QJ, and JJ. Don't you think?

The guy is pretty aggressive and so could be doing this with Ts, Kx AQ etc.

I think this is a fold or call and eval the turn.

A fold isnt bad since he will liekly keep betting at you and I wouldnt want to get AI on this board

Who said hes trapping? I think villian is full of [censored] a lot of the time here, I dont think he is checking with a hand that he loves, I think he wants to build the pot here and now while he has the best hand if he has something like KQ or KJ, looks more like a single pair to me just raising your cbet.

I am not looking for value anymore, I am looking for the pot.

Am I weird for thinking this an easy fold? What is villain putting us on? If he's doing this with KT, doesn't he realise that this board hit our UTG raising range right in the face?

I don't put him on TT+ as I think with his stats he usually 3bets PF. Something like T9, KQ, QJ, and AT are in his range. I think I put him on T9 here as I'm not sure he c/r's with something like QJ on this dangerous board.

Something I like to keep in mind when playing with aggressive players is their showndown percentage. If it is greater than 30%, I would probably fold since they are willing to play huge pots with draws, real hands, and air.

If it is around 20%, I would reraise on the flop and put the test to them. If they call I proceed cautiously, but I would expect them to muck most hands here.
