$10+$1 6man: AA facing turn 3-bet
Hi everyone,
This is the first time i've posted a hand so I hope it isn't to boring. This was a hand I was involved in, here I was actually the villan and I'd like to hear your thoughts on "Heros" line here. It's from a 6man $10+$1 SnG, blinds go up every 10 hands, 1200 chips (yeah they're pretty crappy, I haven't been playing Poker to long but I find I learn quite a bit from playing these as youre constantly being put to decisions). 2nd level - only about 15 hands in. Both players have played only about 2 hands each so far, table has been quite tight/solid so far. Pacific SnG, Big Blind is t20 (6 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com UTG (t1713) MP (Villan) (t998) Hero (t1285) Button (t1155) SB (t1003) BB (t1046) Preflop: Hero is in CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG calls t20, MP (Villan) calls t20, Hero raises to t60, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG folds, MP (Villan) calls t40 Flop: (t170) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) MP checks, Hero checks Turn: (t170) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) MP (Villan) bets t80, Hero raises to t180, MP (Villan) raises to t530, Hero calls t350 River: (t1230) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) MP (Villan) raises to t408 (All-in), Hero calls t408 My opinion is Hero did not bet enough pre-flop, and shouldve bet on a semi-drawy kind of flop. Should Hero fold to the 3-bet on the turn, push, or call? Thanks all! |

Yep, raise t120 preflop then bet that flop (2/3 - 3/4 pot) is surely the way to go.

Bet more on every street. I agree with Rex, 120 preflop. On the flop, you have to bet, checking behind is not good IMO. As played, on the turn, I would raise to 250 or so and shove over once Villain re-raises you. There is no point leaving Villain with 408 chips behind, he won't fold if you push over.

Raise more pf. Play some of these on pacific and you need to raise to 100 or 120 pf especially with the limpers. You also have to bet that draw heavy flop here
