Beat: I just lost a friend of six years because she's sick of me saying that you can win long term at poker. It's gambling and therefore you MUST lose long-term, despite the fact that poker's not house-banked. I try to counter with the Bill Chen Coin Flip Argument and she sticks her fingers in her ears and goes "la la la".
Brag: I'm no longer associated with a dumb, immature bitch. Variance: I just learned that poker pros like Cunningham, Ivey, and Brunson are lucksacks, and that their profits are going to run out sooner or later, I just know it! Discuss.

Your girl isn't a moron because she thinks what she does. She's a moron because she won't reconsider her previous perspective in light of evidence to the contrary.

it's natural for someone to think everyone loses in the long run at gambling, but poker's different and evidently u didn't explain this to her, or well enough anyway...
if she sticks her fingers in her ears as a response when u try to argue the merits, maybe it's not such a bad thing u lost her as a friend...
