Default Tax Refund, Love the USA

Just went through my taxes and found out that the government (state and federal) owe me a total of $7200. This made me pretty happy but then I thought about the fact that I gave the governament a 0 interest loan for most of the year and I felt pretty pissed about that. [censored] that.

No kidding, with interest you might have been able to get a free Xbox 360 with numerous games and extra controllers or something considering the average stock return percentage is around %11 which equals over $790.

Yea, because OP is obviously able to get that rate of return on every dollar of tax as if he invested it on Jan 1.

Have you discussed this with your accountant?

The goal is to break even.

I owed the IRS $50 last year. This year I owe $70. You should change your withholding rate so you get +/- $100 as Morbo above me said.
