So, two people who got tons of airtime during the auditions are down to 0 2 (Sanjaya and Antonella).

She's the best singer in the competition, imo, echoing the other posters. If anything I think she has more control than Melinda and possibly more range. Stage presence wise she blows Doolittle away. Perfect song choice. That being said I wouldn't be surprised if last night is her best performance of the competition, and her pricing will come back down to earth somewhat. But she will always be performing at a very, very high level. Listen to Jennifer Hudson sing this song on the Dreamgirls soudntrack... it's really not that close.

Sabrina Sloan nailed "Never Loved a Man" - so impressive - it was kind of funny to see her do an Aretha song so well (I wouldn't sleep on her even if she is kinda weird looking, the overall package is ok)... after having watched Leslie (who is so one-note, with her breathy, tenor-ish range) just butcher "Natural Woman". (I love Aretha, total travesty.)

Stephanie is like a lesser version of the Lakisha/Melinda/Sabrina set. She was pitchy on the verse and is just not as good a singer as these 3.

Tranquillo was so bad on a song I like alot ("Stay", Erykah Badu) and really weird choice (the distinctive, showy vocal parts are backup singers, not Badu, minus a couple showy Badu runs)... she almost seemed out of sync with the backing band, and the band was also too loud during the verses. She's the best white singer left though, imo (not a big fan of Gina, who can sing "big" songs... but just compare that to Lakisha...).

Alaina is prolly the weakest female singer - you could see she was going for the sultry angle with "Brass in Pocket". But she has some sass and presence.

Antonella I thought (prior to last night) has a nice, rich voice - the voice quality and sound is not too shabby. However her extreme nervousness affected her pitch control. That combined with song choice I thought made for the worst female performance last night.
