Hero is LAG, no real read on villian since we only played a couple of hands together without any real action. What is your play on turn? Against a smaller stack i would shove but since we are kinda deep i find the turnplay harder.
No Limit Holdem Blinds: $5/$10 3 players Hero: 4000$ SB: 3200$ Pre-flop: (3 players) Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero raises to $35, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($105, 3 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bet 90, SB raise to 290, BB folds, Hero calls. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($685, 2 players) SB bets $425, Hero ??? |

how do you both have such deep stacks on the table and you still dont have reads on him...deep stacks would imply he's played some big pots and you should have a general idea of how he's been playing. anyway, i think calling and re-eval on the river is best line here

Reason for being deep without any real read is mainly because the table has been 6 handed until now and ive been playing 3-4 tables at the same time, he also went up to 3k pretty fast so hadnt seen much of him.

Deep stacked it doesn't make sense to play AQ like thise even if the game is aggro. Sets and two pair are pretty unlikely given your holding. This looks like air or something like JT.
Call, and reeval river looks good. I would look him up on a non-Q, non-A river (although this might be a spot I could call down light even after getting counterfitted). Yeah, and K and 8 river becomes tough too. |

I call the turn here and re-evaluate river.

man I really don't see any other option besides just calling here this deep. even 200 bbs deep you can probably just shove, but 300 is just way too much.

Kind of a general question, but are you supposed to open bigger when deeper ?
Think you are ahead on the flop, the hands that makes better hands than your seems somewhat unlikely based on preflop play. Any 6,8,T,J,K,A could either make a straight or better 2-pair, so 3-betting seems like a good idea. As played, I like a turncall and posibly one more on the river. |

This looks more like a draw to me. Though Q9 and 97 are possibilities I guess.
Problem with calling is that any non [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] KJT86 aren't nice cards to call a big river bet on. Not to mention A or Q. If he is mostly giving up when he misses you need to raise the turn. If he's likely to bluff the river then calling is better. Without a read I'd call. |
