Default \"Official\" Poker After Dark thread - Week 7

This week's set of shows will be the last new shows for a couple of weeks. The lineup for the week (Forrest, Farha, G, Ferguson, Hansen and Gowen) is impressive and hopefully will be as good as last week's commentators shows.

Wow. I probably go broke with Gus's hand there.

Or lose way more than he did.

Gus raises from CO with AJo. Folds to Chris who calls with 44.

Flop: 4QJ (two diamonds)

Chris checks, Gus checks back

Turn: J (offsuit)

Chris bets 1,000 (?), Gus calls

River: blank

Chris bets 3,000, Gus tanks for a while and calls with his trip jacks against Chris's fours full.

I liked the hand where Chris made aces and said he could beat A8 and A2 and Gus said he'd take A2. A2 would have made a straight.

I was wondering if anyone knew what sort of compensation the players get, other than air time? While the show makes a big deal out of the "20K that each person puts up", I'm guessing (possibly incorrectly) that there is at least some sort of compensation.

Thanks.

Gus actually had JTs, not AJo. That added in even more hands he couldn't beat.
