zelda oot water temple

is it possible to unlock the wrong door somewhere which makes thelevel unbeatable? I have read like 9 different walkthroughs and ican't get anywhere. did i screw up? help!!!!

I don't think so. It's pretty much universally acknowledged as the most ridiculous dungeon ever, at least in the Zelda series. I don't know if everyone else had the same problem that I did, but I was stuck for days because I missed the switch inside the mouth of one of the shells. 

That's all I remember and I'm sure it's not very helpful. Just keep going, you'll figure it out eventually.

Yeah this dungeon is insane. I did it completely w/o a guide and I beleive it took me nearly 10 hours to complete. Did you fall through the hole after defeating Dark Link? That screwed me up the first time I played it. If memory serves right its behind the chest in that room.

I seriously doubt it - everyone gets stuck on this. I was stuck on it for a while and finally resorted to checking every single room at every single water level. That didn't help either, and I realized there was one last thing I could try that might be the answer, and it was.

Spoiler if you really want it (I'm assuming this is it):

 You probably need to go to the room in the center. Get some water in there and jump down to the bottom. There will be a hole there that you didn't know existed because a platform was covering it.

i found that very early on. my prob;em now is i moved a block on the secondlevel, and can't get past it now because i can't get to any of the places to change the water level.(it's all the way up). i'll keep at it, thanksagain

yep, this is right up there for the most impossible Zelda puzzle of all time along with (Spoilers in white for those not passed the 7th TP temple): that switch hanging from the ceiling that lets the platforms blow around so you can get to boss section... seriously - wtf?

Wayyyy back when this game out and I was like 15, I thought I messed something up in the Water Temple that would stop me from ever beating it. Like 3 months later I gave it another go and was just missing something relatively simple (as is the case with most Zelda puzzles). Just get a walkthrough and act like you're starting the temple from the beginning.

yeah i tried that but the problem is from the beginning the water isn't all the way up whereit is stuckfor me now
