Are you a donkey?
I was reading Taylor Caby's Blog, and he mentioned a poker quiz @ www.donkeytest.com. I've taken a couple online poker quizzes before that sucked, but this one was pretty good.

Re: Are you a donkey?
Thats awesome. Im like 10x better than I thought
My strongest was small pocket pairs [ QUOTE ] The ability to play small and medium pairs is typically difficult for beginners. Typically beginners will call too much pre-flop with these hands and overplay overpairs on the flop. Folding a set is rarely correct but sometimes necessary. Your Small and Medium Pairs score of 79% is exceptionally higher than your average percentile score. This score is better than 97.34% of all persons taking this test. [/ QUOTE ] My weakest was Bluffing [ QUOTE ] Your Bluffing score of 54% is not significantly different from your average percentile score. This score is better than 60.51% of all persons taking this test. Poker Test Development
Does anyone have any interest in developing a Tournament Poker Test? I am Ph. D. student with excellent (if I do say so myself) training in test development and construction. I have been thinking a lot lately about what makes poker players different from the population in general and what makes great poker players better than average poker players.
I'd like to develop a test (similar to HOH #3: The workbook) in which we could score people on poker tournament abilities. However, the only way to score the test is to get expert opinions on what the best answer(s) is/are (or mathematical calculations for simpler problems). So I am looking for some help. Eventually, I'd like to test-run this test and publish it on the web. What I would really like to get is something that is diagnostic of actual playing ability in tournaments. The areas I need the most help in are as follows: 1) Creating (independent of HOH3) a range of tournament poker questions (easy to difficult). 2) Determining the best answers to these questions. 3) Testing and publishing it on the web. If anyone is interested, please PM me. R. Sherman Ph. D. Student Personality/Social Psychology |

Re: Are you a donkey?
This score is better than 78.81% of all persons taking this test. You should expect to win in low to mid stakes NL holde'em games.
If only it was that simple. |

Re: Are you a donkey?
I must definitely be a donkey. Is it just me or were the majority of the situations in the live game questions, the type where you just want to puke when they happen in real life? Got a 97 btw.
