Home Game Madness
So, I have started back at a home game that used to be easy, but now the players dont even care anymore. Most of them say, "I'm here just for the fun, I dont care about the money." But, this game has turned into, WHO CAN HIT THEIR 72 THIS TIME. They play anything under the sun. Doesn't matter how much you raise you will get multi callers and always a scary bored for you when you hold AA or KK or QQ ... and you can't put them on a hand ... after you raise 10x BB they still come out betting against you and you never know when to lay down or call. What yall think ...should i just give this game up ???

Re: Home Game Madness
1. Learn to beat $.01/$.02 online.
2. Apply concepts and strategy to home game. 3. ??? 4. Profit. The one thing you have to know is that while games like these are the most profitable, they are also the swingyest. |

Re: Home Game Madness
Push w/ AK AQ 99 and up. Limp with any other hand you want to play. If they want to play their 72 against your big hands, they're going to need to play for all of their (your) money.

Re: Home Game Madness
Should you give this game up? This type of game is the dream situation for me. If I ever find a game like the one you describe, I am never going to leave it. No way. If you can't beat people that play that badly, how are you going to beat people that play good? Just be patient. Don't play almost any hands. Don't bluff. Don't be loose. Be patient and tight. And when you get a good hand in position, be as aggressive as necessary. Colima420 |

Re: Home Game Madness
if you are patient just push all in preflop or postflop, seems like the easiest game in the world to beat if your patient, cant see why you wouldnt be the happiest player.

If you're making 10xBB raises and 5 people are still calling you then you're still not raising enough!

this is the easiest game to play in [/ QUOTE ] Actually, it may not be the easiest; but it should be one of the easiest and generally the most profitable. That being said, I have had some of my worst sessions on the loosest tables, probably partly due to my own fault, but sometimes the fish just catch a lot of their hands. |
