Best Xbox Live Arcade game (that's not SF2HF)

I don't really know what my favorite is... Lumines is pretty good... Ms. Pac Man of course... anyone tried astropop?

cloning clyde was interesting but got boring really quick...

They have Lumines on 360? I almost bought a PSP for that game, and now I have to buy a 360.

yeah... i was keeping my psp for that game... then i thought of selling it... then i heard lumines 2 was coming out for it =(

How does Xbox live arcade work for that? Do you just pay like 5 bucks and buy it as an arcade game? Is it the same game as PSP or is it slightly different? I really dug the music and the style of the PSP version.

it's basically the exact same game as the psp game. you have to load your xbox live account with 'points' which are the currency you use for the purchase of arcade games. i think it is $20 for like 2000 points or something. Most old school games like galaga are 400 points. Most newer games (and ports like SF2HF) are 800 points. I think lumines is 1200.

Each live arcade game has 200 gamerscore points in achievements to earn. Every xbox comes with Hexic HD. There are quite a few games from popcap that are in HD, like bejewed & zuma...

The pricing structure is whack. It's $15 for the core download -- but you don't get the full game. You just get the first course (base, 12 skins), time attack, and vs. human/xbox live modes. The rest you have to pay extra for. :\

-Advanced Course (22 skins): $7.50
-Vs. CPU (11 skins): $3.75 ($1.25 until Feb.20ish)
-Puzzle/Mission (8 skins): $3.75 ($1.25 until Feb.20ish)
-Heavenly Star Course (1 skin): $1.88 (Free until Feb.20ish)

Try Heavy Weapon and Geometry Wars.

Although my fav is still SF2HF - those two are pretty fun games. (Also Lumines but its already been mentioned.

assault heroes was my favorite, but it's best in co-op and no one seems to play anymore. if anyone's ever up for a game send me a FR at jonnyba.

I call lumines "crack tetris" because I'll play it until my eyes bleed without noticing the passage of time. It has gone the way of Civ4 for me - I stopped playing for my own good.

geometry wars is ok but I don't really get the hype.

I tried heavy weapon demo and didn't think it was all that.

also, wtf is "SF2HF"? street fighter?

Geometry Wars is arguably the most addictive Live Arcade game, give it a chance and actually learn how to play! My high score: 1.9 million

Also check out Small Arms, really fun. It's pretty much just like Super Smash Bros, except without licensed Nintendo characters. Really fun to play against other ppl on Live
