Default Annette_15 got hacked on UB

This account hacking thing is getting scary...

The ironic part about hers - someone played omaha and won 10k on her account

Also, what is the method that these accounts are being hacked and how do we prevent it from happening to us?

95%+ of these cases are caused by downloading and running a .exe file that has a trojan on it. Basically make sure anything you download/run is definitely trusted and it helps to have an up to date virus scan and firewall on your computer.

I will say this. I work in the computer field (I'm a programmer). I'm pretty careful, I run anti-virus, spyware scanners, etc. But I agree with the poster above, most of this is from doing something stupid.

If I played with the money some guys here play with (like, tens of thousands of dollars), I would have a dedicted machine. It would have NOTHING installed on it, except poker sofware. That would be the only thing I used it for, and it would be locked down like a mofo. I would unplug the ethernet cable when I wasn't playing. It's just not worth taking the chance.

I would have another computer I surfed, played games on , etc.
