First time in Vegas w/car....Park?
This is my first time in Vegas with a rental car. I've been here before without a car so my question is...Do I have to pay for parking at the casinos? What's my best bet as far as parking goes. I plan to move around throughout the day, so I don't want to pay everywhere I go, otherwise I'll just walk more.

Self Parking is free in every casino on the Strip. Obviously, valet parking requires tip money, but other then that, you are smooth sailing.

Re: First time in Vegas w/car....Park?
I was out last week and found that parking at Caesars as close to the elevators as possible, at least for me, provided the best all around access to the rooms I wanted to play in. I also made liberal use of the monorail across the street at the Flamingo.
Once I was parked at Caesars, the car didn't move until it was time to head back to Sunset Station. |

Downtown you may have to pay, but otherwise free parking abounds.

In the past, you parked in a pay lot downtown and got your ticket validated in a casino for some number of free hours. Often you just stamp your own parking ticket at a validation machine at the cashier window. |

They don't like it if you spend TOO much time gambling at their casino? Yeah, they probably just don't want people leaving their cars while they go off for a couple days, but the 4hr limit is kinda low. |

They hope you come in and forget all about the time limit then have to pay for the parking. They gotta keep those 40 year old garages standing somehow. |
